Hot water gone cold? I can usually sort it same day.

I'm Tom. Over 20 years a plumber, born and raised in Port Macquarie. If your hot water's packed it in, give me a ring and I'll tell you straight whether it's a repair or a replacement.

Port Macquarie, Lake Cathie, Wauchope and surrounds.

Available 24/7

No call-out fee. What I quote is what you pay. The visit is built into the price, not bolted on afterwards.

What it Costs?

Hot water replacement. From $2,800.

That covers the unit, the install, the tempering valve and all associated valves as required by Australian standards, and the old unit taken away.

A straight swap in the same spot is at the lower end. The price goes up if the tank has to move, the pipework needs bringing up to standard, or an electrician is needed.

Repairs. From $200 depending on the part. Elements, thermostats, valves and thermocouples are all repairs, not replacements.

Please note that there is no allowance for the electrical connection. We can arrange our electrician to complete the connection. They will quote and invoice you directly.

Every hot water job is different, so I won’t give you the final number until I’ve seen it. Ring me, tell me what you’ve got, and I’ll give you a firm price before I start any work.

Not sure what you’ve got? Send me a photo of the label on the unit.

Repair or replace?

If the tank's leaking from the body, it's a replacement. They can't be repaired. If it's an element, thermostat, valve or thermocouple, that's usually a repair and a lot cheaper. Over about 10 to 12 years old and needing parts, replacing is normally the better spend.

I'll tell you which one you're looking at, not just quote you the bigger job.
