Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, store and protect your personal information — as a customer, an enquirer, or someone applying for a job with us.
Last updated: 20 August 2026
WickyLeaks Plumbing (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you contact us, use our services, visit our website, or apply for a role with us — including through forms on our Facebook and Instagram ads. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
The short version
We collect the details you choose to give us — like your name, phone, email and (for jobs) your experience and qualifications.
We use them to reply to you, quote and carry out plumbing work, and consider job applications.
We don’t sell your information, and we only share it where we need to run the business or the law requires.
You can ask to see or correct your details at any time — just contact Tom.
1.Who this policy covers
This policy applies to everyone we deal with — customers and people making enquiries, visitors to our website and social media, and people who apply to work with us.
2.Information we collect
We only collect information we reasonably need. Depending on how you deal with us, that may include:
Contact details — your name, phone number, email, and your suburb or address.
Job application details — your work history and years of experience, trade qualifications and licences (such as a plumbing licence), White Card, driver’s licence, whether you have your own tools, your availability and right to work, and anything else you choose to share.
Customer details — information about the plumbing work you need, your property and site access, and payment-related details (handled through our payment and accounting providers).
Website & advertising data — basic technical and usage information when you visit our website or interact with our ads (see section 9).
3.How we collect it
Directly from you — by phone, text, email, through our website, or through forms on Facebook and Instagram (Meta lead forms) when you enquire or apply.
Automatically — limited analytics and cookies when you use our website.
4.How we use your information
Respond to your enquiries and provide quotes and plumbing services.
Assess and manage job applications, and contact applicants.
Run, measure and improve our advertising.
Meet our legal, tax, safety and insurance obligations.
5.Job applicants
If you apply for a role, we use the information in your application to assess your suitability and to get in touch. If your application isn’t successful, we keep it only for a reasonable period in case a suitable role comes up — you can ask us to remove it sooner. If you’re hired, it becomes part of your employment record.
6.When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted providers who help us run the business — for example job-scheduling and CRM software, and our accountant — and where the law requires. Information you submit through Facebook or Instagram is also handled under Meta’s own privacy policy.
7.Storing & protecting it
We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and to hold it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet our legal obligations.
8.Overseas storage
Some of the providers we use (including Meta) may store information on servers located outside Australia.
9.Cookies & analytics
Our website may use cookies and basic analytics to understand how it’s used and to improve it. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings.
10.Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it. Just contact us using the details below and we’ll help.
11. Complaints
If you’re concerned about how we’ve handled your information, please contact Tom first and we’ll do our best to sort it out. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
12.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be the one published at this link.
